Georgina joined the LCA team in 2020, after moving to London from New Zealand. With a background as a planning lawyer, Georgina knows first-hand what it is like being part of the planning process, she has helped various clients with planning applications, working on both sides of the argument.
At LCA, she is currently working on various mixed-use projects and a large stakeholder engagement exercise for the NHS.
Starting her career in Christchurch, immediately after the earthquakes, Georgina has extensive experience in built environment and community engagement. She worked on several key projects as part of Canterbury’s regeneration, including the redevelopment of heritage buildings, advising the Council on transport options for the city, and several residential subdivisions.
Georgina has supported clients with contentious water bottling proposals, including managing the narrative as protests ensued, and helped various Councils engage hard to reach communities.
Development is in Georgina’s blood. With developers as parents, she learnt first-hand the need for early community consultation. She has fond memories of walking the streets with her mum talking to people about proposed developments.
Georgina graduated from the University of Otago in 2013, with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Science majoring in Environmental Management and Psychology.
Having recently moved to London, Georgina spends the weekends exploring the city, country and the rest of Europe. She loves to get outdoors, especially if it involves skiing down a mountain.
