Our September edition of London in Short is out now – your monthly news magazine allowing you to stay up to date with the key news and events in London.

And what a fascinating summer it has been – dominated by the Labour leadership contest and an impressively thoughtful set of hustings as candidates seek their party’s nomination as candidate for Mayor of London on 5 May 2016.

By this Saturday (12th) we will know the Labour selections, although as we head towards Party Conference season the Conservatives are yet to publish their election timetable.

Meanwhile in other news, we cover the ‘floating pool’ at Embassy Gardens, the winner of the Carbuncle Cup, the UK’s first bike-safe lorry scheme and the new cruise terminal at Greenwich. Elsewhere, the National Gallery strikes continue, the Natural History Museum reveals its plans for the transformation of its outdoor spaces and the Rugby World Cup begins.

We hope you enjoy!
