So now we know. After endless appearances, policy pledges and high profile backing, the final Mayoral Candidates for the 2016 election have been declared. In what is certain to be a close race for City Hall, the coming months will bring further campaigning with some unpredictable variables –
Corbyn, Boris, the economy – to make things really interesting.

In this October edition of LDN - London In Short, we focus on Party Conference season, analysing policies declared and the impacts these will have for London. Our Party Conference commentators share their views from the venues and we take a closer look at the key lines the Mayoral Candidates will be focusing on.

Elsewhere, the revised masterplan for the Greenwich Peninsula has been granted consent, Mike Brown has been confirmed as the new Transport Commissioner of Transport for London, and London continues to play host to the Rugby World Cup.
