As we begin a new chapter with a Conservative Government and some new Ministerial faces, we've another packed edition of LDN - London in Short.

Despite the political results elsewhere, Labour continued to make gains in London and we focus on the race to be the Labour candidate for Mayor of London with the election now less than a year away.

We have a guest Insight from the LSE's Professor Tony Travers to mark the 50th anniversary of the London Boroughs in their current form, following his fascinating lecture last month at the Guildhall which we were delighted to sponsor.

And we round up all of the news and events you may have missed in London, from the Boroughs' new housing targets to the relocation of the English National Ballet.

We hope you enjoy this edition of LDN. We put enormous effort into our research and monitoring activities so we are always up to date and do please feel free to let us have any comments. LDN is a free monthly news magazine and if you know anyone who would like to subscribe, they can do so here.
