Richard Abbott
Account Executive
Richard joined the LCA team in January 2011 as an Account Executive having spent the previous year working for the communications team at Surrey CCC and as a freelance cricket journalist.
Richard’s clients now include Chelsea Football Club, London City Airport and New Covent Garden Market. When he first joined the agency he worked on the St Pancras International account, helping manage the station’s extensive arts, culture and filming schedule.
As a member of Team Savvy, Richard helps maintain the LCA website and Twitter feed and is a regular contributor to the LCA blog. He has also joined the LCA running club and legendary 5-a-side football team.
Richard was born in Salisbury where he attended Bishop Wordsworth’s School before reading music at Exeter University, where he also spent four and a half years as a choral scholar in the cathedral choir and a year teaching sport at Exeter Cathedral School. He has a postgraduate diploma from the London School of Journalism and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
Away from work Richard can usually be found watching or playing football or cricket. He is disproportionately proud to be the only West Ham fan in the office and used to write regularly for the cricket blog, The Corridor. From time to time he also likes to escape back to Salisbury to kick a ball around with his dog Alfie.
