  • Alan Davidson

    Non-Executive Director

Alan has interests in architecture, art, digital media, urban planning, business/social structures, visual perception, information graphics, interactive communications, social media and geospatial analysis. Lectures, consultancy and expert witness work include advising on strategies for visual communication and visual perception of the built environment.

Alan studied Fine Art and Architecture at the University of Edinburgh and qualified as an architect in 1986. Alan worked with Richard Rogers Partnership from which he founded London based Hayes Davidson in 1990, creating the first professional practice CG illustration studio specialising in architecture in the UK. He has worked with many of the world’s best known architectural practices, and has advised on major London projects including The London Eye, Millennium Bridge, The Dome, T5, Canary Wharf, Wembley, Tate Modern and many of London’s tall building projects.

Alan splits his time between London and Edinburgh with occasional visits to the Alps for skiing expeditions. Depending on their musical preferences, his jazz and blues guitar playing either entertains or annoys his neighbours.
