Kate joined LCA as an Account Manager in November 2007 and was promoted to Account Director in August 2009. She brings over seven years of communications experience from both the public and private sector and her current clients include, King's Cross Central, Greenwich Peninsula Regeneration Ltd, High Speed 1 and St Pancras International. Kate is also a member of LCA's New Business team.
Kate joined LCA from PR consultancy Fishburn Hedges where she was Media Relations Manager for BBC TV Licensing, one of the consultancy's biggest clients, with responsibility for all proactive and reactive media activity. Prior to moving in to consultancy Kate built up more than six years experience in the public sector, with a particular focus on housing, planning and regeneration issues. Her career included over three years working at the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), advising the Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott, Nick Raynsford and most recently, the Housing Minister Yvette Cooper on communication issues. Kate has also worked on secondment in Number 10 Downing Streets press office.
Kate has significant experience in crisis communications having been the senior press officer with particular responsibility for resilience and emergency planning while at DCLG and having worked in the emergency media centre set up after the 7th July bombings.
Kate graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2001 with an MA in Political Communication and before that studied for her BA at the University of East Anglia in Norwich.
