Jon Teeman
Consultant
Jon has worked in all aspects of the 'marketing mix' since leaving University armed with a degree in Economics and a post graduate diploma in Marketing. He first set about learning retail marketing in the fashion business before joining BMW (GB) Ltd as Marketing Services manager in the late 1980s. Involved in launching several new models, Jon helped to establish the strong marketing presence that the brand now enjoys in the UK.

In 1990, Jon was invited to join Clarke Hooper Consulting, one of the top 3 Marketing and Brand Development companies at the time. He was instrumental in the acquisition of CHC by Abbott Mead Vickers in 1992.

Over the next 5 years, Jon extended Clarke Hooper's portfolio to include Live Events and sponsorship whilst also taking on a consulting role with fellow PR Company Freud Communications.

In 1998, Jon founded a subsidiary for the group called Touchdown, specialising in live event production and PR exploitation. Projects included launching London's first free newspaper, Metro, for Associated Newspapers and the launch of Yell for Yellow Pages.

The new millennium brought a major decision to break away from the large agency environment and establish an independent consulting business whose first 2 clients were 02 and Arsenal Football Club. 02 retained Jon's services during its first 'roller coaster' year whilst Arsenal retained Jon's services for 5 seasons where his role switched from sponsorship development to the sales and marketing of the new Emirates stadium.

In 2003 Jon was approached by London & Continental Railways to head up the very successful launch of the first section of the Channel Tunnel Rail link.

Subsequently Jon agreed to stay on and become the Director of Communications responsible for all corporate and press relations as well as continuing with his earlier role in anticipation of the final overall launch of CTRL in late 2007.

A 'belated bachelor', Jon lives in mews house in Marylebone village which he shares with several pieces of exotic machinery in various states of disrepair.
